The Associate Radiologic Technology Program Director is a pivotal leadership role responsible for the strategic development, implementation, and oversight of educational services within the Radiologic Technology (RT) and Limited X-ray Technology (LMXT) programs. This position plays a critical role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality curriculum, maintaining compliance with accreditation standards, and fostering academic excellence among students and faculty. The role requires a balance of academic leadership, operational management, and student-focused mentorship to drive program success and enhance institutional objectives.

Key highlights of this role include:

  • Providing strategic oversight and operational support for both online and on-ground components of the RT and LMXT programs.
  • Ensuring compliance with Federal, State, Institutional, and Programmatic accreditation standards to uphold the integrity of the programs.
  • Collaborating with faculty and clinical coordinators to optimize curriculum delivery and clinical training experiences.
  • Mentoring students to achieve academic and professional success, including preparation for certification exams and career placement.
  • Contributing to the continuous improvement of program pathways, including advanced imaging modalities such as CT and MRI.

This role is integral to the success of the Radiologic Technology program, fostering a collaborative environment that supports faculty development, student achievement, and program growth.


  • Support the Program Director in managing daily operations of the Radiologic Technology (RT) and Limited X-ray Technology (LMXT) programs, including both online and ground components.
  • Assist with the coordination and oversight of clinical sites, clinical rotations, and clinical documentation to ensure compliance with accreditation standards.
  • Support accreditation, regulatory, and certification requirements, including documentation for ABHES and the Texas Medical Board.
  • Assist with faculty onboarding, credential review, training, scheduling, and performance documentation.
  • Teach RT and LMXT courses as needed and support curriculum delivery to maintain high educational standards.
  • Contribute to the development and assessment of RT and LMXT curriculum to ensure alignment with industry standards and accreditation requirements.
  • Facilitate the student selection and acceptance process for the RT and LMXT programs.
  • Participate in and lead various meetings, including Student Information Sessions, New Student Orientation, Clinical Coordinator Meetings, Faculty Meetings, and All-Level Program Director Meetings.
  • Monitor student progress, clinical readiness, and eligibility for certification exams to ensure successful outcomes.
  • Provide student advising and address academic or clinical concerns to support student success.
  • Collaborate with Career Services to enhance graduate placement and strengthen community partnerships.
  • Support clinical coordinators and field-based instructors to ensure effective clinical training experiences.
  • Assist with program outreach, continuing education initiatives, and pathway development for advanced imaging modalities (e.g., CT/MRI).
  • Ensure compliance with institutional policies and state, federal, and programmatic regulations.
  • Provide administrative and clinical support to the RT/LMXT Program Director as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to enhance program effectiveness and achieve institutional goals.

  • Bachelor's degree preferred, with a minimum of three years of relevant experience in the field and two years of teaching experience.
  • Two years of Educational Leadership experience preferred.
  • Must be an ABHES and TWC-approved Instructor.
  • Hold current licensure and/or certification in the field as required by local, state, and/or federal law.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Outlook, and Word, with strong data entry skills.
  • Exemplary verbal and written communication skills.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and conflict resolution abilities.
  • Strong organizational skills with keen attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Proven supervisory and leadership skills to manage teams effectively.

  • Competence in writing routine reports and correspondence.
  • Effective public speaking skills for addressing groups of students, faculty, or stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in mathematical concepts, including algebra and geometry, to apply in practical scenarios.
  • Ability to solve complex problems and adapt to situations with limited standardization.
  • Capability to interpret diverse instructions provided in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
