The College of Health Care Professions (CHCP)

CHCP is seeking a passionate Medical Coding and Billing Instructor to deliver high-quality, competency-based education and support student success in a learning-centered environment. This role plays a key part in preparing students to meet the evolving needs of today’s healthcare workforce.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging, competency-based instruction in residential and blended learning formats

• Develop lesson plans, activities, and assessments aligned with CHCP curriculum standards

• Foster student achievement of defined learning and exit competencies

• Provide regular, meaningful feedback to support student success

• Maintain accurate academic records, attendance, and grades

• Create an inclusive, engaging classroom and online learning environment

• Participate in faculty meetings, committees, and program advisory activities

• Integrate current industry knowledge and professional experience into instruction

Qualifications:

• Certificate, degree, or post-secondary education with relevant experience meeting state and accreditation requirements

• 1–2 years of teaching or instructional experience (post-secondary preferred not required)

• Active certification, registry, or licensure in Medical Coding and Billing (required)

• Professional association membership preferred
