The College of Health Care Professions (CHCP)
CHCP is seeking a passionate Medical Coding and Billing Instructor to deliver high-quality, competency-based education and support student success in a learning-centered environment. This role plays a key part in preparing students to meet the evolving needs of today’s healthcare workforce.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver engaging, competency-based instruction in residential and blended learning formats
Develop lesson plans, activities, and assessments aligned with CHCP curriculum standards
Foster student achievement of defined learning and exit competencies
Provide regular, meaningful feedback to support student success
Maintain accurate academic records, attendance, and grades
Create an inclusive, engaging classroom and online learning environment
Participate in faculty meetings, committees, and program advisory activities
Integrate current industry knowledge and professional experience into instruction
Qualifications:
Certificate, degree, or post-secondary education with relevant experience meeting state and accreditation requirements
1–2 years of teaching or instructional experience (post-secondary preferred not required)
Active certification, registry, or licensure in Medical Coding and Billing (required)
Professional association membership preferred
