- Provide comprehensive leadership and management of the Cardiovascular Sonography program, ensuring operational efficiency and academic excellence.
- Collaborate with faculty to maintain and update course content in compliance with accreditation standards and industry advancements.
- Supervise and support instructional staff, including reviewing lesson plans and providing professional development guidance.
- Participate in the recruitment, selection, and onboarding of new instructional staff to maintain a high-caliber teaching team.
- Monitor key program metrics such as student completion rates, job placement statistics, and overall program outcomes.
- Engage with students through advising, orientation, and admissions interviews to foster a supportive academic environment.
- Organize and lead program advisory board meetings to gather insights and recommendations for program improvement.
- Evaluate feedback from students, alumni, and employers to drive continuous program enhancements.
- Coordinate program scheduling and annual start dates to optimize resource allocation and student success.
- Ensure compliance with all state, federal, and accrediting body regulations governing the program.
- Contribute to the development of new programs and participate in campus events to promote institutional growth.
- Collaborate with the Director of Education and registrar on academic and administrative tasks as needed.
- Perform additional duties as required to support the dynamic needs of the academic environment.
- Bachelor’s degree required, with a minimum of three years of practical experience in the cardiovascular sonography field.
- Current registry, license, or certification in at least one cardiovascular specialty, as mandated by accrediting bodies.
- Demonstrated teaching experience, with a strong ability to mentor and inspire both students and faculty.
- Professional demeanor with the ability to serve as a role model for academic and clinical excellence.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills to effectively engage with diverse stakeholders.
- Proven ability to manage time efficiently and meet critical deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Comprehensive academic and experiential background in the Diagnostic Medical Sonography profession.
- Current registration or credential from a nationally recognized sonography credentialing agency.
- Certification in any specialty overseen by the program, unless a faculty member with the required credentials is available to fulfill this requirement.
