This role is ideal for an experienced professional seeking to leverage their expertise in cardiac sonography and education to make a meaningful impact on the healthcare industry.
- Lead and manage all aspects of the Cardiac Sonography (Echocardiography) program, including curriculum development, faculty oversight, and accreditation compliance.
- Supervise and support instructional staff in both classroom and clinical settings to ensure effective teaching and learning practices.
- Oversee program planning, development, evaluation, and continuous improvement to maintain academic excellence.
- Ensure compliance with institutional, federal, state, and programmatic accreditation standards, maintaining the highest levels of regulatory adherence.
- Facilitate advisory board meetings to align the program with current industry standards and employer needs, fostering stakeholder engagement.
- Collaborate with campus leadership to review and enhance student outcomes, including completion rates, job placement, and employer feedback.
- Participate in the recruitment, interviewing, and onboarding of new instructional staff, ensuring alignment with program goals and standards.
- Support student recruitment efforts during enrollment periods and monitor student success in both in-person and online learning environments.
- Conduct or oversee student orientation and in-service training for faculty to ensure alignment with program objectives.
- Assist in developing the academic calendar and maintain accurate student and employee records in coordination with the registrar.
- Bachelor’s degree (required).
- Minimum of 3 years of teaching or occupational experience in cardiac sonography or a related field.
- At least 2 years of full-time experience as a registered sonographer, demonstrating advanced technical expertise.
- Proven experience in curriculum development and educational program assessment, with a focus on continuous improvement.
- Strong knowledge of accreditation and regulatory requirements, ensuring compliance and program integrity.
- Certified, registered, and/or licensed in cardiac sonography or a related field, in accordance with state and accrediting body requirements.
