Are you a seasoned cardiac sonography professional ready to step into a leadership role and make a lasting impact?
At CHCP (The College of Health Care Professions), we’re seeking a Program Director – Cardiac Sonography (Echocardiography) to lead, innovate, and elevate our program in Austin, TX.
In this role, you’ll drive program excellence, faculty development, and student success, while ensuring alignment with accreditation standards and evolving healthcare industry needs.
✨ What You’ll Do
Lead and manage all aspects of the Echocardiography program, including curriculum, faculty, and operations
Supervise and support instructional staff across classroom and clinical environments
Drive continuous program improvement through planning, evaluation, and innovation
Ensure compliance with institutional, state, federal, and accreditation standards
Collaborate with campus leadership to improve student outcomes, completion rates, and job placement
Facilitate advisory board meetings to maintain industry alignment and relevance
Recruit, interview, and onboard faculty aligned with program goals
Support student recruitment and retention efforts
Oversee student orientation and faculty training initiatives
Partner with administration to maintain accurate academic records and program documentation
🎓 What We’re Looking For
Bachelor’s degree (required)
Minimum of 3 years of teaching or occupational experience in cardiac sonography or a related field
At least 2 years of full-time experience as a registered sonographer
Proven experience in curriculum development and program assessment
Strong knowledge of accreditation and regulatory requirements
Certified, registered, and/or licensed in cardiac sonography or a related field
