Position Summary
The College of Health Care Professions (CHCP) is seeking an Adjunct/Temporary ADN Instructor to provide academic support to nursing students through tutoring and remedial skills clinics. This role will help students strengthen their nursing knowledge, develop clinical skills, build confidence, and successfully progress through their program.
Key Responsibilities
Provide tutoring support for assigned ADN courses and subjects
Lead remedial skills clinics to help students strengthen clinical competencies
Reinforce course concepts and assist students with understanding challenging material
Identify areas where students may need additional academic or skills support
Provide guidance and mentorship related to academic and professional expectations
Create a supportive, engaging, and positive learning environment
Maintain current knowledge of nursing practices and educational standards
Support student success and progression within the ADN program
Qualifications
Active, unencumbered Texas RN license
Master’s or Doctoral degree, preferably in Nursing
If the graduate degree is in another field, candidates must have:
A BSN, and
At least 6 graduate-level nursing credits
Demonstrated teaching ability and current clinical knowledge
3+ years of nursing education teaching experience preferred
