The Corporate Financial Aid Trainer will play a pivotal role in the development and implementation of training programs for financial aid staff across CHCP campuses. This position is integral to ensuring compliance with the Department of Education, State Regulations, and CHCP's internal policies and procedures. Reporting directly to the Corporate Director of Financial Aid, the incumbent will be responsible for fostering a culture of excellence in customer service and operational efficiency, aligning with CHCP's ICARE values.

The role requires a strategic mindset to assess and enhance training methodologies, ensuring that all financial aid personnel are equipped with the knowledge and tools necessary to excel in their roles. The Corporate Financial Aid Trainer will also collaborate closely with campus staff and faculty, contributing to the organization's mission of delivering exceptional service to students and stakeholders.

  • Collaborate with campus financial aid staff and committees to develop, maintain, and deliver training initiatives that meet regulatory compliance standards for both new and existing employees
  • Assist in creating training platforms to support the internal advancement of current employees
  • Evaluate and enhance learning processes, methodologies, and technologies utilized at CHCP
  • Develop training materials using resources from the Department of Education, Texas Workforce Commission, and other financial aid organizations
  • Stay updated on legislative changes impacting financial aid operations and ensure compliance
  • Conduct regular assessments and tests for trainees to ensure knowledge retention and compliance
  • Utilize reports, internal audits, and staff observations to design targeted training programs
  • Provide ongoing training to all financial aid staff members
  • Revise and improve policies and procedures in response to federal and state regulatory changes
  • Support day-to-day financial aid operations and duties at the campus level
  • Deliver exceptional customer service to students, staff, and faculty
  • Participate in special projects and perform other related duties as assigned

  • Bachelor’s degree or a minimum of 5 years of experience in the financial aid field
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Outlook, and Word, as well as data entry
  • Extensive knowledge of Campus Nexus software
  • Strong attendance and punctuality, with the ability to ensure responsibilities are managed effectively
  • Exceptional customer service skills, including the ability to handle challenging situations and respond promptly to needs
