The College of Health Care Professions (CHCP) is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented individual to join our instructional team as a Medical Coding and Billing Instructor at our Fort Worth, TX campus. This position offers a unique opportunity to leverage your expertise in medical coding and billing to shape the next generation of healthcare professionals.   • Deliver structured and engaging instruction in core courses within the Medical Coding and Billing program.
  • Facilitate learning in diverse settings, including classroom, lab, and online environments, utilizing advanced educational tools and software.
  • Incorporate Electronic Health Records (EHR) and billing software systems into instructional activities to enhance practical learning.
  • Mentor and support students to promote academic retention, certification readiness, and successful externship placements.
  • Maintain a positive, professional, and student-centered learning environment that aligns with CHCP's academic standards.

  • Certification in Medical Coding and/or Billing or a related healthcare credential.
  • 3–5 years of professional experience in medical coding and billing, demonstrating industry expertise.
  • Preferred: CPR certification to enhance instructional capabilities.
  • Proficiency in Electronic Health Records (EHR) and billing software systems.
  • Strong communication, mentoring, and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with students.
  • No prior teaching experience required; comprehensive training will be provided to ensure instructional success.
